Earth Day 2024

Every now and then, the Fumoto team likes to do some bonding activities outside of the work environment. Recently, we bonded over protecting the environment; nature, that is.

On April 20th, some of the Fumoto team and their families met up at our local annual Earth Day Festival in Downtown Santa Rosa and took action for the environment. We enjoyed inspiring exhibits that raise environmental awareness, spectacular dance performances from our local Indigenous community, great food (of course), and fun activities that inspired environmental stewardship. 

Fumoto Product Packaging Associate Isela and her daughter biked to and from the event instead of contributing to air pollution by driving a car. Director of Operations Dory brought her young son along. He made a sign that read, “I pledge to pick up litter.” And the next day, he went around his neighborhood and picked up litter to keep his promise. 

Other ways we can all help the environment is by growing our own fruits and vegetables. Not only is it better for the environment, it’s more nutritious. Planting wildflowers is the perfect way to provide the habitat bees need to survive. And for us DIY oil changers, we can add the Fumoto oil drain valve on our vehicle to protect waterways.
