Recycle Responsibly.

MORE THAN A DROP IN THE BUCKET

According to the EPA, 40% of the total oil pollution of our country's waterways comes from used motor oil, and 180 million gallons of it are spilled and dumped into our water every year in the US. The amount of oil drained from a single oil change can contaminate up to one million gallons of freshwater - equivalent to a year's supply for 50 people.

MAKING AN IMPACT

Change your oil for the better. One oil change at a time. Motor oil doesn't wear out - it just gets dirty. One gallon of used motor oil provides the same 2.5 quarts of lubricating oil as 42 gallons of crude oil. If we recycle all the oil from American do-it-yourself oil changers, it would be enough motor oil for more than 50 million cars a year. Used oil can also be re-refined into lubricants, processed into fuel oils, and used as raw materials for the refining and petrochemical industries.

Recycling motor oil with Fumoto

Fumoto valves can directly drain the used motor oil into your oil jug through a hose—no messy oil spills—the cleanest oil collection from your vehicle. The oil will be quickly ready to be carried to a recycling center. Being a steward of the environment is as easy as switching a lever. Use our product to make an impact on the environment.

Fumoto’s commitment to the environment

CalRecycle is a short name of California's Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery that works toward a society that uses less and recycles more.

The San Francisco Department of Environment has been granted by CalRecycle for its used oil recycling program. The program advocates for the residents to recycle the oil. Fumoto has partnered with them and provides hundreds of our oil drain valve kits to the residents through the program. We have also partnered with Woodland in California to distribute the drain valve kits to their residents.

We are pleased to be part of the solution to reduce the environmental impact of the disposed motor oil.
